Things I've noticed.

The best feeling I can ever recall
is the just-right form of a well-worn mitt on my hand.
Creamy brown leather wraps my hand like a loving mother as I cross the street.
I always knew my glove wasn't the most expensive
nor the biggest
nor the newest.
And I used to always see that.
But one day I just knew,
"This is mine, and nothing else could be better"
Because with a friend like that,
Who needs anything else?

Well, recently I've begun to feel that way about other things.
Friends.
Family.
Almost family.
They all have their faults, I know.
They are close-minded,
impatient,
conservative,
overbearing.
But you know what?
Only I know these things.
And I finally get why that's a good thing.
